PRISON FELLOWSHIP MINISTRIES

Once again we are recruiting for our exciting Summer Internship Program!  Over 20 summer internships are available for the summer of 2008 with PFM (Prison Fellowship Ministries), a Christian ministry located in Lansdowne, Virginia, 25 miles outside of Washington, DC.  Each internship opportunity offers $6.15 per hour and there is local housing available for a limited number of students from outside of the area.

Internships encompass a variety of fields of study including: marketing, business administration, events, liberal arts, public policy, criminal justice, research, political science, and information technology.  Our program provides students with practical work experience in a Christian environment, while structuring the internship to meet the students’ academic requirements.  All interns also participate in stimulating events such as visits to Capitol Hill, meeting with Christian political leaders, and worldview Bible studies.

The Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation, has current internship opportunities for Special Agent Student Trainees (SAST) in the Indianapolis area starting in the summer of 2008.  I have attached an overview of our program for your review.  I have also posted a listing in the Career Services & Cooperative Education database on the University of Evansville website.  Historically, interested candidates have been found from both the Accounting/Business and Criminal Justice fields of study.  If you are aware of any interested and qualified UE students, I would appreciate you letting them know of the opportunity.

For anyone who is interested in a financial law enforcement career, this is an excellent opportunity.  We don't always get these positions in the Indianapolis area and when we do, we usually fill them pretty quickly.  The best part of the SAST position is that a successful candidate can covert to a full-time special agent without further competition.  We had two candidates recently withdraw and therefore, we are looking to fill these positions fairly quickly.
